The event hosted 35 performances, 150 Aztec Dancers, 4 stages, an art exhibit , 100 decorated altars and an unforgettable performance by Latin Grammy Nominee Julieta  Venegas.
The 17th annual Day of the Dead event at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery set the stage for the historical return of the late singer Jenni Rivera who, via hologram, was able to perform once again for her fans and family.

Juan Rivera, Jenni's younger brother, took the stage to reveal the highly anticipated surprise.  Just like he did at every one of her concerts, Juan introduced his sister onstage while admitting he was feeling "very nervous" but excited that his sister would be the first regional Mexican singer and Latin artist to have a hologram.
Jenni became a star for albums like La Diva En Vivo and produced 15 gold, 15 platinum and 5 double-platinum records. She became later a reality-TV star, businesswoman and activist. Tragically, she died in a plane crash at age 43 on December 9, 2012.
